THE PROBLEMS

Why Normal results don't always mean you're healthy.

Discover the hidden data that standard blood work can miss. Your Essentials are the core, absolutely necesary nutrients for everyting your body does. Generally, there are 3 classes: Minerals, Fatty Acids, and Amino Acids. When any of these are depleted, our-of-balance, or even low, it can adversly effect almost anything in the body - from energy, sleep, & recovery, to vital organ function, includding heart, brain, liver, & kidney.

THE NORMAL
LAB TRAP

You feel the symptoms, but the cause isn't showing up in the standard labs? Then test your Essentials! Give the body what it needs and let it figure it out for itself.

CELLULAR
VS SERUM

ESSNTL.US uses the same technology used for an A1C test for its Mineral & Fatty Acid analysis. This is the "gold-standard" for long-term results. The Aminos test uses a short-term method, but the results are still vitally imporant for the whole picture.

BEYOND THE
BAND-AID

Everyone is unique. Short-fixes usually don't work at all, and many Essential deficiencies can have the same symptoms - so trying to guess, or use a Q&A survey can easily fall short.

WHY CHOOSE US

Unlock your Vitality from the Inside Out

We go beyond basic check-ups with advanced analysis of your blood - providing an excellent blueprint for optimizing your Essentials towards  sustainable long-term wellness.

01

Why Our Blood Testing Matters

Most standard blood tests focus on organ function and end results, but they can easily miss whether your body has the Essential Nutrients it needs to function properly in the first place. Our testing looks deeper by focsing on core, foundational nutrients that are the build blocks for almost everyting you do. These can uncover nutrient imbalances that can contribute to fatigue, brain fog, poor sleep, mood changes, and other chronic symptoms that standard labs may not be set up to catch.

02

Discover Your True Needs

Symptoms alone rarely tell the full story because different Essentials deficiencies can produce similar effects in the body. Our testing helps identify what your body is actually lacking, so you can stop relying on guesswork and start making informed decisions based on measurable data based on your actual, unique profile.

03

Your Key Essential Nutrients

The Essential Nutrient Panel evaluates minerals, fatty acids, and amino acids — three primary Essentials groups your body depends on for energy, metabolism, immune function, brain health, recovery, and countless other biological processes. Together, these markers provide a clearer picture of how well your body is being fueled at the cellular level.

04

Personalized Tests

Rarely do two people ever have the same Essentials needs - even when they are exposed to the same environment and share similar symptoms. This is one reason why generalized supplement routines often fall short. Our testing is designed to provide personalized insight into your specific imbalances, allowing recommendations to be based on your actual results rather than assumptions or one-size-fits-all protocols.

05

Comprehensive Health Assessment

By combining RBC Mineral analysis, RBC Fatty Acid testing, and Plasma Amino Acid profiling, the panel provides a more complete understanding of your Essentials status and how different systems in the body interact together. This comprehensive approach helps reveal patterns that isolated tests may miss. Further the Blood Cell Count & Metabolic Panel give our Prescriber vital clues towards your tolerance for targeted Essentials restoration.

STANDARD TESTS

Usually serum

Most commonly run tests are used to determine if you are ill, but they rarely look at the levels of Essential Nutrients that your body requires to stay well or recover from illness & trauma.

Most nutrient scores are "transport" values that simply show what the body is moving through the serum
SIMPLY PUT:  Measures what is moving, not staying
Usually limited to detecting organ & cell damage
Highly inconsistent varies by diet and stress
Fails to show hidden deficiencies

Essential Nutrient TESTS

RBC & PLASMA

Essential Nutrient testing looks directly at the actual buildingblocks the body needs to properly function for Quality-of-Life (QoL), Healing & Wellness. Without these Essentials, your body cannot perform even the most basic functions.

Beneficial & Toxic Minerals & Fatty Acid results  show a long-term, ~120-day value. Aminos show metabolic ability.
SIMPLY PUT: Measures assimilation & absorption
Shows Essentials deficiencies - possible cause of issue
Largely stable, unaffected by last meal (except Aminos)
Gives personalized roadmap for IV and Oral supplements
SO WHAT ARE THE TESTS?

The Essentials Tests

If this is the first time you’re testing, we recommend usingthe Full Panel.  This gives you an Essential Nutrient baseline of your Minerals, Fatty Acids, and Aminos, PLUS (for FREE) we add in the Consultation, the Blood Cell Test, the Organ Function Test, and the Phlebotomy draw.

Depending on your results, you can retest using segments of the Full Panel – you do not have to repeat the entire package.

See below to review everything included in the Full Panel.

Note: We recommend the Full Panel because Essentials interact with each other. Seeing the full picture at once gives a much more accurate basis for recommendations than testing in pieces.

01

RBC Elements (Toxic & Benefical Minerals)

1

This test measures Toxic & Beneficial mineral status by assaying your red blood cells (RBCs) to see what they have passively absorbed over their ~120 day lifespan. Just as an A1C is a common test (using RBCs) for long-term blood sugar, this also gives a stable, long-term reading for both deficiencies and toxic metal accumulation. These minerals are vital to so many functions. Your Prescriber will help you review your scores.

What it looks at:

  • BULK: Calcium, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium & Iron
  • MACRO: Copper, Zinc, Manganese, Selenium, Boron & Molybdenum
  • TRACE:  Provides insight into Chromium
  • TOXIC: Arsenic, Cadmium, Cesium, Lead, Mercury & Thallium
02

Fatty Acids (EFA)

2

This gauges Essential fatty acids, and for convenience, it reportsthe non-essential ones.  It also uses the same ~120 day method by assaying RBCs.  Essential fatty acids are “absolutely essential” for maintaining proper cell membranes, blood pressure and clotting, cholesterol, immune, tumor inhibition, and inflammatory response to infection and injury.

What it looks at:

  • OMEGA-3: Eicosapentanoic (EPA) & Docosahexanoic (DHA)
  • OMEGA-6: Linoleic, Dihomo-y-linolenic (DGLA) & Arachidonic (AA)
  • MONOUNSATURATED: Oleic & Palmitoleic
  • SATURATED: Palmitic & Stearic
  • TRANS FATS:  Palmitelaidic & Elaidic
  • +PLUS:  Your comparison to the general population (very helpful!)
03

Plasma Amino Acids

3

This looks at how you are actually absorbing and metabolizing the protein you eat. Problems here can show up as vitamin and mineral deficiencies, digestive issues, protein intolerance, poor detoxification, susceptibility to inflammation, and cognitive or mood issues.

What it can reveal:

  • Dietary protein gaps
  • Digestive and absorption problems
  • Vitamin and mineral co-deficiencies
  • Kidney and liver processing issues
  • Markers for inflammation and oxidative stress
BEST PRACTICES

Glutathione (GSH)

4

Glutathione is the body's main internal antioxidant. It is actually manufactured by the body, and not truly an Essential. However, evaluating your GSH in the context of your Essentials can yield vitally important clues as to how your body is adapting to oxidative stress and long-term deficiencies.

Low levels have been found in people with cardiovascular disease, cancer, neurological conditions including Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, autism, and alcoholism, as well as in people with long-term exposure to toxins or certain medications.

This test measures glutathione inside your red blood cells as an indicator of your cells' overall ability to handle oxidative stress and toxic load.

Got Questions ?

Find answer to the most common questions about classes, memberships, and more.

How is this different from the blood work my doctor already ordered?

Standard tests — cholesterol panels, metabolic panels, complete blood counts — measure how your organs are currently performing. They are end-result tests.

Essential nutrient tests measure the raw inputs your body needs to keep those organs running properly. By the time organ function shows up as abnormal on a standard test, the underlying nutrient problem has usually been present for a long time.

These tests focus on the nutrients your body cannot produce and must get from outside — because even a small, long-term shortfall can be the root cause of symptoms that look like something else entirely.

Why RBC testing? Why not a regular blood test or a hair test?

Plasma levels — what most standard blood tests check — change throughout the day based on meals, stress, hydration, and dozens of other factors. They give you a picture of right now, not of your ongoing nutritional status.

Red blood cells live for about 120 days and absorb nutrients slowly over that time. Testing them gives you a stable 3 to 4 month average — much more useful for understanding what your body has actually been working with.

Hair testing can indicate long-term exposure to certain heavy metals, but it's not a reliable measure of cellular nutrient status. RBC analysis is the current standard for that purpose.

Are these tests covered by insurance?

Most insurance plans do not cover these tests because they are not tied to a specific diagnosis code. HSA and FSA accounts can be used for payment. Medicare offers partial reimbursement for the Urine Amino Acid profile.

Do I need a doctor's referral?

No. You can order directly.

Do I have to do all three tests at once?

You don't have to, but we strongly recommend it for your first panel. Nutrients interact. Seeing minerals, fatty acids, and amino acids together at the same time gives a much clearer picture than seeing them separately. It also makes the supplementation recommendations more targeted and effective.

How often should I retest?

For the first panel, all three tests together. After that, retesting depends on your results and how you're responding to supplementation. Most people retest after three to six months of targeted support.

What's the difference between RBC and WBC nutrient testing?

White blood cells are highly sensitive to changes in the body — any infection, allergy, inflammation, or health change affects their nutrient content. They also have short, variable lifespans. This makes them unreliable for measuring stable, long-term nutrient status.

Red blood cells are one consistent cell type with a predictable 120-day lifespan. They absorb nutrients passively and stay relatively stable. This makes them the more reliable medium for nutritional profiling.

Why does the amino acid test use urine instead of blood?

Urine amino acid analysis is currently the most accurate and accessible way to measure how the body is processing protein and metabolizing amino acids. We are actively working toward an RBC-based amino acid test as that becomes available.
